EPSON UltraChrome™ Ink
Sub-micro particles supports
brilliant colour reproduction.
High density ink helps
reproduce brilliant colour.
Higher Ink Density
with Greater Media
Flexibility
Compared to previous pigment
ink, EPSON UltraChrome™ Ink
has double the quantity of
pigment particles in the ink.
This enables reproduction of
brilliant colour comparable to
general offset printing and silver
halide photography. Additionally
it enables exceptional image
quality on a greater range of
media including fine art papers,
canvas and other matte finish
media, including newsprint.
Wider Colour
Gamut
UltraChrome™ Ink reproduces
an extremely wide colour gamut,
rivaling that of today’s dye based
ink technologies. As a result,
high quality and consistent inkjet
contract quality proofs can be
output on demand, and at a
fraction of the cost of more
traditional methods. Using the
new EPSON UltraChrome™ Ink
set, the STYLUS™ PRO 7600 &
9600 are able to easily
reproduce the colour gamut of
most printing presses, silver
halide photography, while also
matching worldwide industry
proofing standards.
Excellent Colour
Stability - making
it ideal for digital
proofing
When EPSON UltraChrome™
Ink comes into contact with the
substrate, the ink vehicle quickly
separates from the pigment
particles as these are absorbed
deep into the media. As a result,
colours become resistant to
change and stabilise in a shorter
time. Superior short-term
colour stability ideal for digital
proofing has now been realised.
This enables high-precision
digital proofing, and a
speeding-up of operations.
Superb
Waterfastness
Dye based ink contains water-
soluble colourant, the colourant
dissolves when coming in
contact with water. Since
UltraChrome™ Ink is an all
pigment base ink set each print
produced will display a superb
water resistance whether in
monochrome or colour.
Superior
Lightfastness
The pigment colourant improves
light or gas resistance. Since the
pigment colourant exists in the
form of a particle, only the
surface is affected by light
or gas, therefore the colour
inside remains vivid. EPSON
UltraChrome™ Ink utilises
this property of pigment
ink effectively achieving
superior lightfastness.
