The scanner is not 
connected correctly.

Make sure the power cord is 
connected to the scanner and plugged 
into a power outlet.

Normal power saving 
function

If the scanner does not receive any 
commands after 10 minutes, it turns 
off the lamp. The lamp will turn back 
on when you scan.

The scanner does not scan.

The scanner is not ready 
to scan.

Wait until the fluorescent lamp stays 
on (ready for scanning).

More than one USB hub 
is in use, or the cable is 
unsuitable.
