Installing a memory module
Follow these steps to install an optional memory module into the
printer:
1. Turn off the printer.

Warning:
To avoid electrical shock, do not attempt to install a DIMM
unless the printer is turned off.
2. Unplug the printer’s power cord from the electrical outlet and
from the printer.
3. Remove the standard lower paper cassette from the printer to
ease the installation procedure, if necessary.
4. Turn the printer so its left side faces you.
5. Open the printer cover by pressing the latch on the right side
of the printer.
6. Remove the printer’s side cover, as shown below.
