The safety screen supplied with the Westport comes installed on the back of the front fascia and must
be used whenever the stove is on or cooling down. If necessary, the safety screen can be removed for
cleaning or replacement by following the steps below.
Safety Screen Removal
1.
Turn off the stove and allow it to fully cool down.
2. Remove the fascia as outlined in the

section of the manual.
3. Lay the fascia face down on a soft surface to prevent scratching the paint.
4. Using a 11/32” wrench, remove the six (6) #8 nuts as shown in figure 66.
5.
Remove the safety screen from the fascia.
To re-install the safety screen simply reverse the procedure, taking care not to over tighten the nuts.
