Analog Captioning Mode

The Analog Captioning Mode function determines the default analog captioning format when entering a power-on
state. The available options are CC 1, CC 2, CC 3, CC 4, TXT 1, TXT 2, TXT 3, and TXT 4. Most default digital captioning
is displayed through CC 1. If there is question as to which mode was encoded, please consult the content generator
facility for the proper captioning mode.

Service Options

The final option under the Setup Menu is Service Options. The Service Options menu allows the user the ability to
examine various details involving the software and hardware of the Enseo Navy DVD player, as well as control a few
core operations of the system, such as firmware revision levels and the TV interface type.

•  The available functions from Service Options are Update Options, Restore Factory Settings, Shutdown, Show

Status, TV Interface Type, Auto Content Update, LG Select by Enseo, and NMPS Provision.

Update Options

The Update Options function allows the user to manage the installable features of a player (where present), and also
provides methods of updating the current firmware revision level of the Enseo Navy DVD player.

The only available option from Update Options on the Enseo Navy DVD player is the Start Firmware Update function.

Start Firmware Update

The Start Firmware Update function allows the user to command a firmware revision update from a supplied device.
The Enseo Navy DVD player only has the update via USB feature available, so that is the only option listed. This will
be used primarily by Enseo for reasons not typical to standard operation.

Restore Factory Settings

The Enseo Navy DVD player is initially set to a factory default, a list of specifications that define the value for all func-
tions available to the player (such as digital captioning mode – CS1). The user may redefine some of these attributes
at a later state, and then later wish to return to factory defaults. If this is the case, selecting Restore Factory Settings will
reboot the Enseo Navy DVD player with the default factory settings.

Note that any deviations from the factory default that the user wishes to maintain must be reset via the menus

available on the Enseo Navy DVD player.

Shutdown

The Shutdown function allows the user to completely power down the Enseo Navy DVD player. When a full removal
of power is wanted, the user should use this feature to ensure the Enseo Navy DVD player properly shuts down. Once
this process is completed, the user is free to remove the power cable.

Note that this is not for sending the Enseo Navy DVD player to standby (Orange Status LED). For this the user must

send a power toggle/standby command to the player via the remote or front panel pOwEr button.

Show Status

The Show Status function allows the user to view general information about the Enseo Navy DVD player. This performs
the same operation as pressing the INFO button on the Enseo Setup Remote. See page 8 in the Remote section for
more information.
