3.2.4
Filtering
TCM 410J allows filtering received messages according to certain parameters to limit the
amount of received telegrams that are forwarded to the external host. The filtering func-
tionality is independent from the security processing.
To filter received messages, use the ESP3 command CO_WR_FILTER_ADD to setup the cor-
responding filter rules. See Reference [2] for the command syntax. Note that filter rules are
stored in volatile memory and therefore have to be reinitialized after a power cycle or reset.
3.3
Transmission
3.3.1
Setup of security parameters in the outbound secure link table
For the transmission of secure messages by TCM 410J, it is required to setup the security
parameters (SLF format, KEY and RLC) which shall be used. These parameters are setup
using the ESP3 command CO_WR_SECUREDEVICE_ADD as described in Reference [2].
3.3.2
Transmission of a teach-in telegram
To enable the remote device to process secure messages from TCM 410J, it is required to
transmit a teach-in telegram informing the remote device about the security parameters
that will be used.
To transmit such teach-in telegram, the remote device first must be setup in the outbound
secure link table as described above. After that, transmission of the teach-in telegram can
be triggered using the ESP3 command CO_WR_SECUREDEVICE_SENDTEACHIN as de-
scribed in Reference [2].
