Checking base plate / blade guard
WARNING!
Remove the battery before carrying out any
work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,
changing tools, etc.) as well as during the
transport and storage of the power tool.
Unintentional activation of the trigger can
result in injury.
1. Remove the battery pack (18) from the
appliance.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the
base plate (4) before each use.
3. Activate the safety lock-out (1) and keep
it in that position. Lower the plunge saw.
In this way you can test the function of the
base plate (4) it must move freely and may
not jam.
4. After letting go, it must move smoothly
back to its starting position of its own
accord.
Fitting the rip fence
1. Loosen the screw for rip fence (9) on the
base plate (4).
2. Insert the rip fence (7) into the rip fence
slot (8).
3. Re-tighten the screw for rip fence (9).
Mounting /Changing the saw blade (Fig. C)
1. Actuate the spindle lock (11) and use the
hex key (15) to loosen the tensioning screw
(13) (Turn clockwise to open).
2. Remove the tensioning screw (13) and the
clamping flange (12)
3. Set the cutting depth to the maximum
position.
4. Activate the safety lock-out (1) and keep
it in that position. Swivel the base plate (4)
upwards.
5. Remove the saw blade (14).
6. Fit the saw blade and put on the clamping
flange (12). The arrow on the saw blade
must correspond to the arrow showing the
direction of rotation on the guard.
7. Press the spindle lock (11) button until it
engages and use the hex key (14) to tighten
the tensioning screw (13).
Connecting the sawdust extractor
1. Push the suction hose (16) onto the dust
extractor connection (10) and lock it in
place.
2. Attach an approved dust sawdust extractor
to the suction hose (16).
5. Operation
Switching on and off
1. Activate the safety lock-out (1) and hold it
in that position.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch (2). Once the saw
is running, you can release the safety lock-
out (1).
3. Release the ON/OFF switch (2) to switch
off.
Selecting the cutting depth
1. Let go of the quick-release lever of the
cutting depth preselector (6).
2. Set the desired cutting depth on the scale
(5).
3. Clamp the quick-release lever tight again.
Handling the plunge saw
1. Before starting the saw, make sure proper
support of the workpiece. Put the workpiece
on the stable surface, clamp it with tools if
necessary.
2. Place the saw on the workpiece. If
necessary, align the saw with the rip fence
(9) or on a marked line.
3. Switch on as described in the section
“Switching on and off”.
4. Press the saw forward to lower it; apply the
moderate pressure during sawing.
