9. Troubleshooting
WARNING!
Only perform the steps described within
these instructions. All further inspection,
maintenance and repair work must be
performed by an authorized service center or
a similarly qualified specialist if you cannot
solve the problem yourself. Suspected
malfunctions are often due to causes that the
users can fix themselves. Therefore check the
product using this section. In most cases the
problem can be solved quickly.
Problem Possible cause Corrective action
The tool won’t start
Battery discharged Recharge battery
Battery not inserted Insert battery
On/Off switch defective Send in to Service Centre for repair
Battery terminals on dirt Remove the dirt.
Drill bit does not
penetrate or hardly
penetrate the materials
Not correct torque setting
Select the correct torque, the drilling
setting should be selected.
Speed setting Increase the speed to the higher level
Wrong drill bit Change to correct drill bit
Wrong rotation Check and change to right rotation
The materials characteristics is
not suitable
Check the materials and make sure
the materials are suitable for the drill
bits
On/off switch cannot be
pressed
The switch for clockwise/ counter-
clockwise rotation is in the center
position
Check the position of the switch
for clockwise/ counter-clockwise
rotation, set the desired rotational
direction to unlock the tool
On/off switch defective Send it to Service Centre for repair
