VENTILATION UNIT M AINTENANCE
The ven tilation unit does not requir e an y mechanical maintenanc e, only changing of the filters periodically
and cleaning of the heat e xchanger and fans (when needed). Cut the po wer supply to the unit bef ore star-
ting an y ser vice wor k (fr om the main swit ch or by remo ving the servic e ha tch of the LTR-ser ies units). W ait
for tw o (2) minutes befor e star ting the maintenanc e w ork! Although the unit ’s po wer supply is cut when the
hatch is opened , the fans still rota te and the elec trical c oil in ECE-model is still hot for a while .
CLEANING THE HEA T EXCHANGER
When changing the filt ers, check if the heat exchanger is dir ty. If cleaning is requir ed, r emove it fr om the
unit and carefully wash through the air channels with a hand show er using a mild deter gent, taking care not
to get the motor wet . The heat exchanger can also be cleaned by blowing through the air channels using
compr essed air . D o not use a pressur e w asher and do not submerge the hea t ex changer in to wat er!! W hen
restar ting the unit after cleaning , check that the hea t exchanger wheel can tur n freely .
CLEANING THE F ANS
When changing filters , also check the condition of the fans. I f cleaning is requir ed the fans can be remo ved
from the unit and cleaned with a t oothbrush or compr essed air.
CHANGING OF FILTERS
The rec ommended time betw een filt ers changes is max. four (4) mon ths for plain filt ers and max. six (6)
months for bag filt ers. I f class EU5 bag filters are used the time bet ween filter changes can be pr olonged to
one (1) year , b y vacuuming the filt ers on the inside . Chang ing plain filters; Remo ve the filt er cassett es fr om
the devic e and loosen the filter fabric from the fr ame. R eplace new filt er fabr ic back into the fr ame. R eplace
the filt er cassett e back into the unit so tha t the support mesh fac es to war ds the heat e xchanger . Chang ing
bag filters; Open the lock and r emove the old filt er and put in a new one. R emember to lock it af ter war ds.
Vacuum cleaning the inside of the devic e is rec ommended at this poin t. N.B! M ake sur e to close the servic e
harch car efully!
