4.3.3 Setup of the Zoom and FOCUS
• Pull off the camera housing.
• Power up the camera and connect a monitor.
• Loosen Zoom adjustment knob and adjust the zoom setting.
• Loosen Focus adjustment knob and adjust the focus setting.
• Tighten both locking screws when adjustment is done. Close the housing.
NOTE: For a precise adjustment of cameras installed outside it is recommended to place a ND (Neutral
Density) filter in front of the lens while settings are done. This opens up the iris and allows a setting
which is constant at changing light conditions due to the narrower depth of field.
4.3.4 How to align the window of the shield dome to the lens
It is very important to align the window of Shield dome (r) to the lens or IR LED (35x) board (f) so that it should NO
obstruct the image or light beam of IR LEDs.
If Light sensor (e) is obstructed, day/night will malfunction.
If IR LEDs are obstructed, the light beam from IR LED may inflow into the lens and the illumination intensity
will decrease.
In that case:
. Loosen Clear bubble tightening screws (p) (3x) slightly
. Put Dome bubble assembly over Dome base assembly WITHOUT tightening Ring cover fixing screws (m) (3x).
3. Turn Clear bubble (n) gently so that the window is well aligned to the lens and IR LED (35x) (f) board.
CAUTION
Cover the surface of Clear bubble (n) by the protective film to avoid any dirt or sctatch.
4. Tighten Clear bubble tightening screws (p) (3x).
5. Put Dome bubble assembly over Dome camera assembly and tighten Ring cover fixing screws (m) (x3) by using
L-shape star wrench.
