Intrinsically safe power supply module FXN 671
The FXN 671 is a transmitter power supply which galvanically isolates the 4...20 mA
signal from field transmitter, and retransmits it to higher level systems. At the same
time, it takes the INTENSOR protocol (superimposed on the 4...20 mA signal) from the
safe area side and converts it to Rackbus protocol. Since the power supplied by the
FXN 671 is intrinsically safe, instruments in hazardous areas can be connected.
Connection to bus systems is via an E+H Gateway.
Mounting and Installation
Warning!
The wiring compartment of the EEx d version may only be opened when no explosive
atmosphere is present or no power is applied after a cooling period of minimum two
minutes.
Rotating/pulling out the transmitter housing
Warning!
Rotating or pulling out the transmitter housing of the EEx d device may only be done
when no explosive atmosphere is present or no power is applied after a cooling period
of minimum two minutes.
Otherwise apply same procedure as in the none-Ex version.
Rotating the display
EEx ib version
Apply same procedure as in the non-Ex version.
EEx d version
