The tip of the Nivector acts as a sensor and operates as a
capacitive measuring system.
When solids touch the sensor tip, then the measuring
electronics activate an electronic switch (thyristor or
transistor).
The surface protective electrode prevents influences such
as those caused by deposits on the sides of the vessel.
The LED lights up when the electronic switch blocks, i.e.
the load current is switched off (no-load operation) (

With the integrated

capability, the switch can
be set to a make or break contact (see Maximum/
Minimum Fail-Safe Mode, Page 5).
If necessary the sensitivity of the switching distance is
