Firmware and base of medical
programs updating of the device
Uninstall previous versions driver (Start->
Settings-> Control Panel-> Program and Features-
> Virtual COM Port Driver).
To update the firmware, follow these steps:
1. Install the driver on your computer by selecting
the appropriate file according of your operating
system (Choose folder Win7 or Win8,10 and than
STMVCPSetup for 32-bit system or
STMVCPSetup_x64 for 64-bit system).
2. Run the UpdateUtility program on your
computer.
3. Remove the batteries from the device. Press the
«Enter» key
and connect the USB cable to the
device. After that, red LED on the front panel will
flash.
4. In the UpdateUtility dialog box, click the Find
Device button, and then in the lower-left corner of
the dialog box you will see Device Found, it means
that the device is detected.
5. Select the language from the drop-down list and
click Update Flash. After that, the process of
firmware update will be started, as indicated by
the flashing red LED on the front panel and filling
the update status line in the UpdateUtility dialog
box. After the end of the firmware update cycle,
the red LED on the front panel stops blinking.
To update the base of medical programs, follow
these steps:
1. Install the driver on your computer (if not
already installed).
2. Run the UpdateUtility application on your
computer and turn on the emWave device by
holding the «On/Off» button
.
3. Connect the device to the computer with a USB
cable.
4. In the UpdateUtility dialog box, click the Find
Device button, and then in the lower-left corner of
the dialog box you'll see Device Found, it means
that the device is detected.
5. Select the language from the drop-down list and
click Update Base. Then on the screen of the
EmWave Plus device the inscription Update Base
will be displayed. During the database update, the
blue LED will flash and filling the update status line
in the UpdateUtility dialog box. At the end of the
update, the blue LED on the front panel will stop
flashing and the status bar will be completely full.
After updating the base, turn off the device by
pressing the «On/Off» button
