BURNER COVER REMOVAL & PLACEMENT
See page 13 for Glass removal.
Burner Cover Removal:
1. For DXL35 Series Inserts ONLY: If a burner cover is being
installed, attach the pilot shield to the burner cover using the
two #10x1/2” screws (provided). The pilot shield is already
attached to the burner cover for DXL30 Series Inserts.

2. Tilt the burner cover out from the back past the front of the
unit. Tilt the burner cover to the side and lift out. See Figures
19 and 20. Set the burner cover aside.

Note: Install firebox liners at this time. To install liners,
refer to the instructions that came with your liner kit.
Burner Cover Placement:
1. Place the burner cover into the Insert.
a. Angle one corner into the bottom first, and then set the
other corner down. See Figure 21.

b. Gently lower the burner cover down over the burner and
onto the firebox bottom. See Figure 22.
