The alarm will simultaneously beep + the green STATUS LED and the red ALARM LED will flash 1× every
30 seconds. The screen will show End.
MEMORY OF MAXIMUM MEASURED CO VALUE
The alarm records maximum measured CO values.
The maximum CO value can be displayed temporarily by pressing the TEST/RESET button.
The maximum measured CO value will be displayed on the screen for 5 seconds.
If you wish to delete the recorded value, press and hold the TEST/RESET button for 3 seconds.
Memory will also be erased after removing/replacing batteries.
Note: Measured value lower than 20 PPM will not be recorded. The display always shows the current CO
value at the moment. To show the maximum measured value, you must always press the TEST/RESET button.
CO WARNING
If the alarm detects dangerous amounts of CO, optical and acoustic warning will be activated.
The alarm will simultaneously beep/the ALARM LED will flash 3× every 5 seconds.
The display will show the measured CO value.
The warning will be active for the duration of CO presence, until CO levels drop below the danger level
or the alarm is silenced manually.
If a CO value higher than 999 PPM is detected, the screen will display a flashing 999 PPM.
MANUAL SILENCING OF THE ALARM UPON CO DETECTION
The acoustic signal for CO presence can be temporarily silenced.
Press the TEST/RESET button to silence the acoustic signal for 5 minutes.
The red ALARM LED will continue flashing and the icon will be flashing on the screen.
Note: If a CO value higher than 200 PPM is detected, the acoustic signal cannot be silenced!
WHAT TO DO WHEN CO IS DETECTED IN THE BUILDING
If CO is detected in the building, keep calm and do the following:
Stop using all fuel-burning devices and turn them off if possible.
Silence the alarm by pressing the TEST/RESET button.
Make all persons on the premises aware of the situation!
Open all doors and windows and air the area.
If the alarm persists, leave the premises.
Call 112 and the service organisation for your gas appliance and ask the supplier for aid in finding and
eliminating the source of carbon monoxide.
Check that all persons have left the premises!
Leave the doors and windows open until the alarm stops.
Secure medical attention for all persons suffering from symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning
(headaches, nausea).
Inform the doctors of the suspected carbon monoxide inhalation.
Do not use the fuel-burning appliances until they have been checked by a qualified person.
Note: There may be other sources of carbon monoxide aside from fuel-burning devices.
E.g.: emissions from smouldering fire, larger amount of tobacco smoke.
Note:
Some substances may affect the sensitivity of the sensor inside the alarm, such as:
Methane, propane, isobutene, isopropanol, ethylene, benzole, toluene, ethyl acetate, hydrogen sulphide,
alcohol-based agents, paint, solvents, adhesives, hair spray, aftershaves, perfumes and some cleaning agents.
