PUTTING INTO OPERATION
Insert batteries (3× 1.5 V AA) into the battery compartment on the back.
Only use alkaline batteries of the same type, never use rechargeable batteries.
When inserting a battery into the area with a plastic clip, be careful to insert the battery properly!
Insert the battery to the left, first with the - contact, then with the + contact; see the picture:
Warning:
The assembly cover cannot be shut unless all batteries
are in place! The plastic clip in the battery compart-
ment prevents the mounting of the assembly cover. It
is necessary to always have all batteries inserted and
the battery cover in place to prevent the batteries from
falling out of the battery compartment.
A beep will sound after batteries are inserted and a green STATUS diode will flash; the screen will
show 0 PPM.
The green STATUS LED will flash 1× every 6 seconds for 2 minutes after the insertion of the batteries;
the device is calibrating.
After 2 minutes, the green STATUS LED will flash 1× every 38 seconds to indicate that the batteries are
working and the alarm is ready for use.
Note: After inserting the batteries, it is possible that the alarm will be making an acoustic signal for several
minutes until it transitions to standard mode. If the acoustic signal does not stop, contact the service centre.
TESTING MODE
Whenever needed or during every battery replacement, you can test the functionality of the alarm.
Press the TEST/RESET button; the alarm will simultaneously beep + the red ALARM LED will flash 3×
Use testing mode 1× a week to make sure the alarm is operational.
Note: The acoustic and optical alarm during testing is only used as indication that the alarm is operational.
It does not mean that the presence of CO has been detected.
FAULT STATE
If the alarm is in fault state, it is not operational and does not measure CO levels in the room.
Fault state is indicated by simultaneous beeping/flashing of yellow STATUS LED 2× every 30 seconds.
The screen will show Err.
Immediately replace batteries.
Perform a functionality test.
If the fault state persists even after batteries have been replaced, contact the service centre.
FLAT BATTERIES
Flat batteries in the alarm are indicated by simultaneous beeping/flashing of yellow STATUS LED 1×
every 30 seconds.
The screen will show the
icon.
The alarm is not operational and does not measure CO levels in the room.
Immediately replace batteries. Use alkaline batteries only, not rechargeable ones.
Perform a functionality test.
It is recommended to replace batteries 1× a year as a precaution.
END OF ALARM‘S SERVICE LIFE
After 7 years since production, the alarm must be replaced and its use must be discontinued.
The production date is listed on the side of the alarm cover.
