Maintenance

5.1

Keeping maintenance records

Record all maintenance operations performed on a detector in accordance with site
guidance and requirements.

5.2

Clean the detector

Procedure

1. Disconnect power from the flame detector.
2. Wipe the detector housing with clean water and a damp cloth.

NOTICE

Do not use a brush or sharp tools to clean the device. Brushes or sharp tools may
scratch the detector window.

3. Identify where dust, dirt, or moisture accumulates on the detector window.

a) Clean with a soft optical cloth.

b) Rinse with clean water.
