BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging.
Clean the appliance, as described in Cleaning and Maintenance.
Switch the appliance on for 5-10 minutes without food on it before first use, so that possible production
residues are removed. During that time, a smell might occur but this is not a defect of the appliance.
OPERATION
Lift the barbecue grill (1). Next remove the control unit (3) from the main body (2) towards the top. Pull it
back together with the heating element and remove it.
Fill the drip tray (7) with cold water. Do not exceed the “MAX” marking inside the drip tray. During use the
water in the drip tray will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot. Note:
Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.
Place the control unit with heating element back on to the main body. It is important that the control unit
is placed correctly on the main body with the red safety switch fully pushed in. Otherwise, the appliance
cannot be switched on.
Place the barbecue grill on top of the main body. There are three basic positions
available for barbecuing. Place the barbecue grill into the opening (11) for a low
barbecue position, to the opening (12) into the middle barbecue position or into
the opening (10) for a high position. In addition, also take note to the table
below. Basically the higher the barbecue grill position, the lower the intensity of
the heat on the food. If the position needs to be changed, always switch off the
appliance first and use proper heat resistant equipment (not supplied) to adjust
the grilling position during operation. Attention! The barbecue grill must never
come into contact with the element.
Connect the power plug to a suitable outlet.
