TROUBLESHOOTING
Carry out the following checks before contacting a repair technician:
The freezer does not work.
Check if:
• the power cord is plugged in.
The door cannot be closed completely.
Check if:
• the drawers are not pushed fully in or are crooked.
• the door seals are dirty.
• the freezer is level.
The freezer is noisy during operation.
Check if:
• the freezer is set level and there is no mechanical contact with another appliance or
kitchen furniture.
The freezer does not manage to reduce the temperature enough.
Check if:
• the door has been opened too frequently or if it has been left open for a while.
The freezer would then take longer to reach the set temperature.
• there is a reduction in air flow at the rear of the freezer due to insufficient clearance from
the wall.
The following should not be seen as problems:
A slight murmuring sound as refrigerant runs through the pipes.
High temperature at the compressor.
Before you start cleaning the freezer, remove the mains plug from its socket.
Use a clean sponge and a non-abrasive, mild detergent mixed with warm water. Do not use
abrasive or powerful detergents. Wash all surfaces by hand, rinse off and wipe down carefully.
Do not apply cleaning waxes, concentrated detergents, bleach or cleaning agents containing oil
to plastic or rubber small parts.
Never use paper towels, glass cleaners, scouring agents or flammable liquids on plastic parts,
as such products may scratch or damage the material.
Clean using a cloth moistened with the detergent solution and then wipe down with a soft cloth.
