3.1.2. Set/alter time, activate/deactivate DCF reception
You can display the time and date with day of the week both manually and auto-
matically by inputting it via the DCF-77 time transmission signal of the PTB
Braunschweig, transmitted via the long wave transmitter at Mainflingen near Frank-
furt/Main.
The manual time/date adjustment is a practical opportunity to set the exact time
and date if DCF reception is not possible when commissioning, or owing to the
unfavourable location of the weather station.
Setting menu,
“change time” sensor field
Input time, date and day of the
week by touching the display
/- and day of the week,
for example.
End input with the “Back” key
Time/data with the time signal transmitter DCF 77
(Unlit: with DCF reception, lit: without DCF reception)
Please note:
Reception of the DCF-77 time transmission signal is possible within a radius of approx. 1500 km of Frankfurt. Outside
this range the clock is set manually and runs as a precise quartz clock.
Note:
DCF reception always occurs at night at 3 o’clock. In the case of a fault, further attempts are made at 4:00, 5:00
and 6:00. Reception from the sensors or the remote control is not possible while DCF is being received.
As DCF reception is strongly affected by the operation of TV sets as well as the lighting in the WS3001, it should be
ensured that neither of these is active at 3 o’clock at night.
