10 Set-top box firmware update
10.1 General information
The set-top box firmware can be changed by the following ways:
update through «Application store»;
update through USB-drive;
restoring the factory settings;
update through ACS/ACS-BOX.
In addition to firmware update from the external media, it is possible to restore the firmware, which may be
necessary if the user wants to update system with the removal of all user data or restore the device to work in
case of damage to the working firmware (power off the device during the update, disconnect during the
update, etc.).
To ensure that the firmware can be changed in the absence of the Internet or in the absence of an update
server provider, it is possible to update the firmware from the local drive. Any drive with a USB port can act as
a local drive.
Firmware update via application store
In the «Application store» select the
«Firmware»
tab.
After switching to the tab, the current version will be indicated and if a new version is present, the
«Update»
button will be available.
