1. Safety
-Please use the product only in its intended manner. Any other use may result in
damage of the device or other connected products.
-Any rebuilding or modification affects product safety. Caution: Risk of Injury!
-Never open the product or try to repair it by yourself.
-Handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by shock or a fall even from a
low height.
-Keep the product away from moisture and extreme heat.
-Never immerse the product in water or other liquids and keep it away from
splashing or dripping water and containers with liquids.
-Operate the product only with the supplied AC adapter.
-Air vents should not be blocked and must have free access to the room ambient
air for cooling.
-Place the unit away from heat sources, direct sunlight or other electrical
appliances.
-Protect the device from moisture, dust, corrosive liquids and vapors. Do
not use the device in damp rooms (e.g. bathroom) or in potentially explosive
atmospheres.
-Never allow children to use electrical equipment unattended. Children may not
recognize danger correctly.
-Do not place open flame sources (e.g. lighted candles) on or near the device.
-Connect the unit to an easily accessible power outlet.
Safety of wireless transmission
Your device contains wireless communication components. Therefore it is
important to follow the safety instructions below:
-If the unit is located near a medical electronics system, the function of the
medical equipment may be impaired.
-Keep at least 20 cm away from a heart pacemaker, as otherwise the proper
functions of the pacemaker can be affected by radio waves of the device.
-The transmitted radio waves can cause noise in hearing aids.
-Do not install the unit near flammable gases or in potentially explosive
environments (e.g. paint shop), as the transmitted radio waves may cause an
explosion or fire under certain circumstances.
-The range of the wireless connection depends on the environment and
environmental conditions and can also be severely impaired by interference
sources.
-If you send data via a wireless connection, unauthorized third parties might be
able to monitor your data.
2. Data Transmission
Your device communicates with other devices wirelessly (e.g. sensors). All wireless
connections and connections to the internet can possibly fail.
Although we have selected all system components according to high quality
standards and tested very carefully, a loss of data during the transmission can
not be excluded. Beyond this, no liability is assumed for data loss damages arising
from connection problems or interruptions.
This product allows remote access, so additional cost for mobile services may
apply for data transmission. Please check the agreements with your service
provider for more information.
IMPORTANT! Change all pre-configured default passwords for your own safety.
3. Additional Information
Although the systems sends sensor-triggered alarm messages, please note that
this system can not substitute a professional alarm system.
4. Warranty
Eltako provides a five warranty against defects in case of proper use. Please also
read the general terms and conditions and warranty informations.
Attention! We accept no liability for any kind of consequential damages. Errors and
technical modifications reserved.
5. Disposal
This appliance does not belong in household waste. For a proper disposal and any
details according the disposal please contact your municipal recycling collection
centre.
