Restraining wires

Two thin, horizontal lines are visible on the
screen. This is not a fault or defect of the
monitor, bus a phenomenon typical of all CRTs
with aperture grilles.

These lines are shadows produced by the
restraining wires which reduce the aperture
grille’s sensitivity to vibration.
