4.0 READ-OUTS AND ADJUSTMENTS
If the green light on the front panel of the DA204 is ON, this indicates that the correct
power voltage is present inside.
4.1 Equalization of losses due to the cable that carries the input signal
As already mentioned, the DA204 features an equalization circuit that eliminates any
losses of the cable that carries the signal to its input up to a length of 150mt.
The circuit is calibrated for the RG59B/U coax cable. Use of this type of cable is
recommended in order to obtain the best results.
Accurate calibration of the circuit provides a flat band of 0.1 dB up to 10MHz in any load
conditions and with any video signal.
The calibration procedure is as follows:
a) Via the cable to be equalized, connect a CCIR-17 type test signal to one of the two
inputs of the DA204.
b) Connect one of the 3 outputs of the DA204 to a waveform monitor or oscilloscope with
TV synchronism
