DUAL1X3 VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER
1.0 OVERVIEW
The DA204 is a broadcast level video distributor that permits distribution of two video
signals towards three destinations each. The product, which consists of a plug-in, can be
inserted in the Elpro DVR-MV/RK 19" 2RU rack.
Like all Elpro plug-ins, the DA204 is self-powered and consists of two parts:
-The actual plug-in that can be inserted in the rack from the front;
-The rear box, called VRB204, that can be fastened with two screws in the rear part of the
rack.
Exploiting the construction characteristics of the DA204, it is possible to link two inputs so
as to obtain a 1x6 distributor. The link is activated using jumpers, directly on the rear part.
The video inputs of the DA204 are differential in order to guarantee immunity to induced
common mode disturbances. The 75
Ω
termination is activated using jumpers directly on
the rear part.
The DA204 features a compensation circuit that compensates losses of the cable that
carries the signal to its input up to a length of 150mt.
The compensation circuit is calibrated using a multi-turn trimmer accessible form the front
panel of the unit and this operation must be carried out using the instrumentation
described in chapter 4.0
