Attach zipper foot with the right side pin.
Fold back the upper layer seam allowance.
Fold back the lower layer seam allowance to
leave a 1/8˝ (0.4 cm) margin of fabric.

Stop the machine 2˝ (5 cm) before reaching the
slider, with needle in the fabric and raise the
foot, then unzip a few inches to clear a path for
stitching.

Remove fabric and close zipper. Take the
upper fabric layer and lay it flat over the zipper.
Baste the zipper tape to the upper fabric layer.

Place zipper teeth next to margin edge and
baste the zipper tape to the lower fabric layer.
Align zipper foot with margin edge.
Select the straight stitch pattern “ ” and return
the thread tension to the original setting.
Sew a seam the entire length of zipper tape.
