1.0 Introduction /
Scope of supply
The Elma 1500B are voltage and continuity
testers for universal applications. The voltage
testers are constructed in accordance with
the latest safety standards and guarantee
safe and reliable measurement and testing.
The voltage testers represent a valuable sup-
port for all testing and measurement in handi-
craft and industrial applications as well as for
household uses.
The voltage testers Elma 1500B are char-
acterised by the following features:
• DC and AC voltage measurement up to
690V
• Continuity test with optical and acoustical
singnal up to 200 k Ω
• Single-pole phase test
• Internal basic load (also for tripping teh
RCD)
• Automatic AC/DC detection
• Bright LED indication
• Full function without battries or empty bat-
teries
• Ergonomical and robust instrument
• Probe-tip protection
• Measuring Category CAT III/690V
• Constructed in compliance with DIN EN
61243-3, DIN VDE 0682 Part 401 (previous-
ly DIN VDE 0680 Part 5), IEC61010
After unpacking, verify that the instrument
is undamaged. The scope of supply com-
prises:

2 pcs. Batteries 1,5V IEC LR03
1 pc. Instruction manual
1.1 Transport and Storage
Please keep the original packaging for later
transport, e.g. for calibration. Any transport
damage due to faulty packaging will be
excluded from warranty claims.
In order to avoid instrument damage, it is
advised to remove batteries when not
using the instrument over a certain time
period. However, should the instrument
be contaminated by leaking battery cells,
you are kindly requested to return it ti the
factory for cleaning and inspection.
