To input the Location where the test is being performed (optional):
1.
Use the up or down arrows if necessary to move to select the ‘Location:’ line.
2.
Press the ‘Edit’ key.
3.
Use the alpha-numeric keyboard to enter the location where the test is performed or an appropriate lab code
using the text entry procedures. An asterisk will appear at the end of the entry if it exceeds nine characters
in length.
4. Press the ‘Done’ key.
To start a run:
1.
Use the up or down arrows to move to select the ‘Run Assay’ line.
2.
Press the ‘Select’ key.
Running Fluorescence Polarization Assay
The first Assay # is automatically assigned the value of ‘1’. The blank will automatically increment to the next number
after each read.
To input the Sample # (optional):
1.
Use the up or down arrows to move to select the
‘Sample#’ line.
2.
Press the ‘Edit’ key.
3.
Use the alpha-numeric keyboard to enter an appropriate
Sample # using the text entry procedures. The
Sample # would usually be some form of unique sample
or animal identification. An asterisk will appear at the
end of the entry if it exceeds seven characters in length.
4. Press the ‘Done’ key.
To measure Blank Intensity in Batch Mode:
1.
Use the up or down arrows to move to select the ‘Blank Read’
line.
2.
Insert the first sample in the chamber and close the top of the chamber.
3.
Press the ‘Read’ key. The screen will display the ’Please Wait’ dialogue box for a few seconds while the
instrument performs a measurement.
PLEASE NOTE: The screen will increment to the next Assay # after reading the current sample.
4. Continue reading until you finish all samples. Change Sample# if required. By default Sample# from previous
measurement is used.
