Function overview
1. Configuration dip switch
Light indication activation
The LED groups 1-2-3 blink to indicate various conditions of the system and may be programmed by means of SW2 as shown in
the Dip Switch table.
When SW2 is in the ON position, the LEDs will stay on after the siren has stopped sounding until the system is switched
off.
When SW2 is in the OFF position, the light alarm will be off if the siren stops sounding.
Alarm time
The siren alarm time is determined by Dip Switches SW3 and SW4.
When SW3 and SW4 are in the OFF position, the alarm lasts for 3 minutes (
default
).
When SW3 is in the OFF position and SW4 is in the ON position, the alarm lasts for 5 minutes.
When SW3 is in the ON position and SW4 is in the OFF position, the alarm lasts for 10 minutes.
When SW3 and SW4 are in the ON position, the alarm lasts for 1 second.
Exit/entrance confirmation/delay sound volume control
The volume of the siren may be programmed using Dip Switched SW5 and SW6
When SW5 is in the OFF position and SW6 is in the ON position, the siren volume is low.
When SW5 is in the ON position and SW6 is in the OFF position, the siren volume is medium.
When both SW5 and SW6 are in the ON position, the volume of the siren is high (
default
).

The signalling sounds and the LED cannot be deactivated by using the Dip Switches.
Chime function (not managed on MP500/xx systems)
When SW7 is moved to the ON position, the siren activates an acoustic signal whenever a Chime control is received from
the control unit.
No chime signal is generated when SW7 is moved to the OFF position (
default
).
2. Others
Alarm memory
In case of alarm, the siren produces a short sound when the system is deactivated to inform the user that an alarm occurred while
they were away.
Alarm time
The alarm time setting of the siren which is set by means of Dip Switches SW3&4, determines for how long the siren must sound if
no signal is received from the control unit.
Furthermore:
If the alarm time set in the control unit is higher than that set on the siren, the alarm time will be the one set on the siren. If the alarm
time set in the control unit is lower than that set on the siren, the alarm time will be the one set on the control unit.
If the system is off and a tamper alarm occurs and is enabled, the alarm time will be the one set on the siren.
Tamper
The siren is protected from attempts to open the cover and tear the siren from the surface on which it was mounted.
The tamper alarm is a sound and light alarm which lasts for the time set on the siren itself.
If the tampering condition persists, the siren will emit a series of five sound alarms whenever the system is armed or when the
tamper control is activated to indicate a fault.
The temperature function can be temporarily deactivated using the respective deactivation function. The siren will stop monitoring
tampering attempts for an hour. This function was designed mainly to allow replacing the battery or to move the siren and install it in
another position. The control unit will return the function automatically back to ON after one hour.
State indications
The siren can activate the following states when the system is turned on/off.
