Eli User Guide
None of the policies permit the implementation of a server behind Eli.
Click on Firewall.
The menu expands to show the following option: System Policies.
You are now in the firewall policy section of your configuration settings.
Choose the policy that reflects your surfing habits.
Tip: If you hover over a policy name, a pop-up with more information will appear.
Simple Surfer
Allows surfing the Internet plus sending and receiving
emails. Under most circumstances, this is sufficient for
typical office work.
This is the most secure setting.
Note: Only downloads over HTTP are allowed with this
policy!
Gamer
In addition to Simple Surfer, this policy allows most
popular network games and simulations.
Telecommuter In addition to Simple Surfer, this policy allows the use of
VoIP und VPNs from your desktop.
Power User
Allows complete access to the World Wide Web, VoIP, Mail,
File-Transfer, VPN, and most popular network games.
All Outbound
All ports to the Internet are open.
This is the most insecure setting!
Note: This policy poses a security risk as it allows any
Spyware, Trojans, etc. to send data to the Internet!
Note: The default policy is All Outbound.
Select a policy and click Save. Your settings will be saved.
