4 months (max service life).
NOTE: The UHQ1 and UHQ2 must always be changed at the same time and are supplied
as a “Pack A”. The Pack A consists 2 UHQ1’s and 2 x UHQ2’s. The capacity of a UHQ1 DI
cartridge should be typically 4,100 litres of Ultra Pure water (15 – 18 M
Ω
-cm) divided by
the feed water conductivity in
µ
S/cm. HOWEVER an RO does not remove dissolved
carbon dioxide (CO
2
) into account. Every 1ppm of CO
2
is equivalent to 2.33
µ
S/cm.
For example if a UHQ is fed with RO permeate with a quality of 20
µ
S/cm one would
expect a capacity of 205 litres of Ultra pure water. If however the feed water contains 25
ppm of CO2, the actual challenge on the UHQ1 is 20 + (25 x 2.33) = 78
µ
S/cm total ionic
loading.
This means the actual capacity of the UHQ1 will be reduced to 52 litres (not 205
litres)
