3. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
PURELAB UHQ units have been introduced to supply small batch quantities of
Ultra pure water for laboratory, medical and industrial applications using a
combination of Reverse Osmosis (not UHQ PS), Organic Adsorption, Ion
Exchange, Ultra-microfiltration and Photo-oxidation technologies.
In the case of the UHQ II, raw water is passed through an RO cartridge and stored
in an internal water storage reservoir.
In the case of the UHQ PS pre-purified water with a conductivity <20
µ
S/cm and
filtered to 0.2
µ
m is stored in an internal water storage reservoir.
The contents of the reservoir is then recirculated through the Organic Adsorption
cartridge, the Ion Exchange cartridge, the Ultra-microfiltration cartridge and the UV
chamber until the quality is polished to 18.2 M
Ω
.cm. The Ultra pure water is
dispensed from the dispense pen which is located at the front of the unit with a
dispense rate of up to 0.75 litres per minute.
