Battery Replacement
The PCB boards used on the PURELAB flex have a battery installed on them to maintain the settings
when the system is powered down. If the battery needs to be replaced please be aware that all of the
user settings and timers will be lost and will need to be reset once the new battery is installed. Battery

Battery replacement instructions
Enter the system menu and make a note of all
user settings.
Isolate the power to the system
Open the electrical compartment of the system
and locate the battery link (Fig 1)
Ensure that the link is in place, without this link
the battery may appear to be exhausted.
Once you have confirmed that it is the battery
that needs changing and it is not the link causing
the issues then you can replace the battery.
Remove the battery gently. Please take care not
to cause any damage to the board.
Insert the new battery with the positive side
facing away from the board (fig 2).
Switch on the power to the system
Proceed through the menu to correct the time,
date and other user settings.
