resistance between the following points:

 = Open Circuit. 

 

Positive 

to Comp-

U

 = Open Circuit.

 = Open Circuit. 

Note:

 All the above resistance readings should read 

Open

 circuit. 

Note:

 If any of the above readings are a 

Short

 circuit, replace the outdoor PCB. 

 

# While the unit is in operation mode (Heating or Cooling), check the DC output on the outdoor 
PCB 

D10-Diode

, as illustrated below. 

 

D10-Diode = 15V-DC. 

Note:

 If reading is <13.5V-DC or >18V-DC, replace the outdoor PCB. 

 
# If the above reading are okay, remove the spade terminals from the compressor & measure the 
resistance value of each winding. 

Note:

 The resistance value should be the same value

 

across any terminal combination.
