Safety Features
1. 3-way auto safety shut off.
If the iron is left unattended, resting
on the soleplate or on the side, it will
automatically turn off after 30 seconds. If
left unattended resting on the heel, it will
turn off after 8 minutes. The safety auto
off light (I) will start flashing orange and a
sound alert will beep 6 times to indicate
that the iron has been switched off. If
you wish to turn it back on again, move
the iron gently until the temperature
indicator light (H) turns red. It will turn
green once the temperature selected is
reached, meaning the iron is ready to
use again.
2. Hot soleplate safety indicator.
The iron is equipped with a hot soleplate
safety indicator located at the front. The
indicator stripe is black when the iron
is cold. As soon as the soleplate reaches
40C, the stripe turns red indicating that
the soleplate is hot and should not be
touched. Once the iron is unplugged, the
stripe will slowly revert to black as the
soleplate cools down. Wait for the stripe
to revert to black again before touching
the soleplate or storing the iron.
