Troubleshooting Guide
If the rice cooker does not function properly or if the cooking quality is insufficient, refer to the table below. For best results, bring your
rice cooker to the nearest service center in your location.
Malfunction Possible Causes Solution
Indicator light does not go on.
Electric heating plate is not warm.
The warm light does not go on
when the cooking process is
finished.
• Circuit of electric rice cooker is not
connected to power supply.
• Check that the switch, plug and socket,
fuse and main wire of the power supply
are in good condition and properly
connected to the main plug and that
the plug is inserted firmly into the wall
socket.
• Power wiring board is damaged.
• Circuit connection breaks down.
• Master circuit board is damaged.
• Electric thermal tube is burnt out.
• The light is defective. • Take your appliance to an authorised
service centre for maintenance.
Rice is not cooked or cooking time
is taking too long.
• Not enough water is added. • Add water according to the scale on the
inside of the inner pot.
• Cooking time is insufficient. • Press down the control lever to start the
cooking process.
• The inner pot is not properly in contact
with the heating elements.
• Possible foreign matter between the
inner pot and heating element.
• Make sure there is no foreign residue on
the heating elements.
• Electric heating plate is damaged. • Take your appliance to an authorised
service centre for maintenance.
Rice is too hard or too soft. • Not enough or too much water has been
added.
• Add water according to the scale on the
inside of the inner pot.
Rice is scorched. • The rice has not been rinsed well. • Rinse the rice until water runs clear.
• Master temperature controller is
defective.
• Take your appliance to an authorised
service centre for maintenance.
The rice cooker does not
automatically switch to keep warm
mode.
