The machine is equipped with an aroma function. When the aroma function is
switched on, the water runs more slowly through the machine to ensure that
the coffee has a particularly strong and intensive flavour. To activate the aroma
function, press the aroma button
after you have started the brewing
process. The word "AROMA" appears in the display when the function is activated.
If you want to turn off the aroma function, press the aroma button
again.
The word "AROMA" disappears from the display when the function is disabled.
6.
When the brewing process is complete, several beeps are heard and the word "BREW" is
no longer shown in the display.
7. If the coffee is to be kept warm, leave the jug on the hotplate with the device switched
on. The hotplate switches off automatically after approximately 2 hours. When the device
switches off, a beep is heard and the red indicator light goes out.
8. If you would like to switch off the hotplate or the device before the two hours have passed,
press the key once. The red indicator light goes out as soon as you have turned off the
device.
9. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket when the device is not in use.
10.
Clean the coffee jug, permanent filter and filter holder after each use (see the "Cleaning and
Care" chapter).
Allow the device to cool down before you pour more water into the water reservoir
in order to brew coffee.
Timer Function
The coffee machine has an automatic coffee brewing function. You can select a starting time
at which the coffee machine automatically starts the brewing procedure. To do so, take the
following steps.
Make sure that you put water and coffee powder into the coffee machine before you
activate the timer function (see the "Making Coffee" section)!
1. Press the
PROG
button to access the timer menu.
2.
The word "AUTO" appears in the display and the indicator light below the display flashes
green while the adjustments are being made.
3. Use the
H
and
MIN
buttons to set the time at which the brewing process is to be started
automatically.
4. Approximately 3 seconds after you have pressed a button for the last time the display
automatically returns to standby mode. The indicator light goes out, the word "AUTO"
disappears from the display and the current time is shown in the display.
5. Now you have stored an automatic start time. In order to activate the timer function you
have to press the
AUTO
button. If the timer function is activated, the word "AUTO"
reappears in the display and the indicator light is permanently green. You can turn off the
timer function at any time by pressing the
AUTO
button again; in this case the indicator light
goes off and the word "AUTO" disappears from the display.
