Service manual

5.5 ECR drawer test

This test allows the diagnostics of the drawer opening circuits. The connec-

tion of a drawer is described in the chapter 4.13.
Note: External power supply has to be connected.
Procedure:
1. Switch the ECR into programming mode.

2. Enter ‘600’ using numerical keys.

3. Press the [Multiply] key.
Testing procedure:
1. The drawer-opening signal is generated in short intervals.

2. If the circuits are functional, the ECR drawer opens.
If any errors in opening of the drawer appear, consult chapter 6.8 for guid-

ance.

5.6 Fiscal memory tests

These tests allow functionality testing for FM circuits that provide reading,

verification, and writing of data into FM.

5.6.1 FM data reading tests

Data reading tests allow the checking of the data written in FM. Both read-

ing the entire FM and reading FM in 8 kB chunks is possible using the ECR

tests.
Entire FM data reading test
Procedure:
1. Switch the ECR into programming mode.

2. Enter ‘700’ using numerical keys.

3. Press the [Multiply] key.
Testing procedure:
1. The data is read from the FM.

2. All data read from the FM is printed on the ECR printer.
FM data reading test in 8 kB chunks
Procedure:
1. Switch the ECR into programming mode.

2. Enter ‘701’–‘716’ using numerical keys.

3. Press the [Multiply] key.
Testing procedure:
1. The data is read from the specified FM segment.

2. All data read from given segment of the fiscal memory is printed on the
