Online Help
When using the Eicon Configuration Program to configure your connections, you have
access to comprehensive online help. The Help menu in the Eicon Configuration Program
provides two options:
•
Contents:
Opens the Contents tab of the Eicon Configuration Program help file that
provides information on how to use the program and help on parameters.
•
How To:
Displays a list of links to topics in the Online Guide that provide step-by-step
instructions for the most commonly performed configuration and operation tasks.
Context-sensitive Help
While using the Eicon Configuration Program (Eiconcard S-Series/C-Series) or the Eicon
System Management Console (Eiconcard P-Series) to configure your connections, you
can press “F1” from within any parameter to display the associated help topic. This topic
provides a description, range, and default value for the selected parameter.
Context-sensitive help is provided for the following Eiconcard Connections for Windows
2000/XP components:
All the above files are installed into the C:\Winnt\System32\Eicon folder by default. Except
for the Eicon Configuration Program, which is installed as part of the Core Services
(Eiconcard S-Series/C-Series), these help files are installed only if you choose to install
the corresponding component.
Error Messages
If a problem occurs while you are using the Eicon Loadable Modules, Eicon Relocatable
Modules, or Eicon Routing Services, a system error may be displayed. For more
information and a solution to the error, refer to the Eiconcard Connections for Windows
2000/XP - S-Series/C-Series error message file,
