Patients with false nails and nail polish may produce inaccurate readings as this may interfere with
the light spectrum.
•
Skin pigmentation may also interfere with measurement. Low saturations may occur with patients
with darker skin. When taking the measurement chose the skin with lighter color.
8.4
Maintenance and Cleaning
•
Turn off the power before cleaning device or sensor.
•
Do not sterilize the sensor by high pressure.
•
Do not soak sensor in liquid.
•
If sensor or cable shows sign of damage or degradation, do not use it again.
•
Sensor surface may be cleaned by cotton ball or soft cloth with medicinal alcohol, then dry it by dry
cloth. Sensor luminescent tube and receiving components may be cleaned in the same manner.
•
Cable may be cleaned by 3% hydrogen peroxide or 70% isopropanol. Active reagent has the same
effect. Do not soak joint into solution mentioned above.
