Programming
Overview
The CMDN configuration program is used to configure and load
message information into each CMDN(-C)/SMDN(-C)'s memory. All
configuration and message information must be downloaded to each
CMDN's memory, as there is no default configuration.
A list of Keyboard Commands, Parameter Descriptions and
Specifications, and use of the Editing Tools appears at the end of this
section.
Computer Requirements
The CMDN configuration program must be installed in an "AT" PC or
clone running DOS 3.3 or higher, with at least 512K of RAM, a 1.44
floppy disk drive, and a serial port. The program may be run directly
from the configuration program disk and configuration files may be
stored on the configuration program disk. However, using a hard disk
speeds up program loading and file storage.
Note:
During download operations, internal computer timing is critical.
It may be necessary to reduce background computer activity by
removing any Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) and/or memory
manager programs for proper download operation. PCs running
Windows 95
TM
may choose to turn off the FIFO “First In, First Out”
port option.
Program Installation
1. Insert the CMDN disk, IRC-3 Data Entry, FCC Compiler, or LSS4
Configuration program disk in your computer. All these disks
include a directory called CMDN.
2. Create a new directory called "CMDN" on your hard disk. Copy the
contents of the
CMDN
directory from the IRC-3 Data Entry, FCC
Compiler, or LSS4 Configuration program disk to the
CMDN
directory on your hard disk. The required key strokes are shown
below.
