The wooden storage box is divided into 8 smaller boxes, so the image
cards can be sorted in the box as well.
࢝
Spin the pointer on the playing board and name the emotion. Portray the
emotion. Talk about a time when you experienced this emotion. Discuss
this together.
࢝
Form a circle with classmates and discuss the situation cards. What is
happening in the illustrations? Which emotion goes with that situation?
Did you ever experience something similar yourself?
࢝
Refer to the last page of this manual for an overview of all situations.
Note that the situations were designed with a particular emotion in mind,
but are also appropriate for other emotions. In fact, there is no single
right answer, because attributing emotions is an inherently subjective
process.
Take the playing board. Place the
situation cards upside down on the
table. Spin the pointer and name the
emotion where it stops. Flip a situation
card and make this situation fit with
the emotion the spinner points at. For
example: you spin the emotion ‘happy’
and have the situation card of the
grandpa sitting by the window. You can
make the emotion fit by telling grandpa
is a little bit sad now, but later he gets
visitors and then he will be happy.
Take the playing board. Place the
situation cards open on the table. Spin
the pointer and name the emotion the
pointer stops at. Choose a card with a
corresponding situation. Tell why you
think this situation corresponds with
this emotion.
