1.5 SAFETY GEAR
A DOT approved bicycle helmet is the most impor-
tant part of your safety gear. An approved bicycle
helmet can help prevent a serious head injury.
Goggles are also an important safety compnent of
your safety gear. When travelling on your
ECOPED, insects and airborne debris may
become a serious hazard, and hitting them may
result in eye injury. Your goggles will protect you
from eye injury.
