WARNING – There is a risk of explosion if the battery is not replaced properly or is exposed to
a flame. Do not short-circuit the battery. The batter does not contain parts that can be replaced.
The casing of the battery should not be opened under any circumstances. Only use chargers
and batteries authorised by ecom instruments GmbH. The use of other chargers or batteries
may be dangerous. In this case, you will lose your warranty rights.
Used batteries are to be properly disposed of.
If you do not use the phone for a prolonged period, you should remove the battery. It is strongly
advised that you do not place your phone in the charger if the battery is not installed. The
charger is a transformer. It is a security relevant component and may not under any circum-
stances be altered or replaced by another component (simple power plug, etc.). If the battery is
completely discharged, the phone cannot be switched on. Connect the phone to the charger.
After charging for a few minutes, the phone will turn on. When the Start option appears on the
screen you can turn on the phone again

Using the phonebook
Open the
Phonebook
menu. If contacts were already furnished, the contact list will be displa-
yed (corresponding information can be found in
Storing a new contact
). When a contact is
selected, an icon is displayed in the title bar:
contact saved on the SIM card
contact saved in the phone
contact saved in the Fixed dialling. See

for more details about this activation.
You can search for a contact quickly by typing the first letters (up to three). You can display it
by pressing
[OK]
