Timers Menu

Press MENU, and then select Timers to use the Timers Menu to:
• View all existing timers for events.
• Create a new timer, or Edit or Delete an existing timer.
Timers can be either of two types:
• DVR – records an event automatically, even if the receiver is in standby
(green front-panel light is out) at the time the event begins. Note that
the receiver must be connected to a power source.
• Auto Tune – pops up a notice when an event is about to begin, and
changes the channel to the new event unless you stop it.
Several options may be highlighted with the UP or DOWN ARROW keys,
depending on whether a timer is intended for one single event, or should
repeat periodically for a program.
You can select the timer to operate:
• Once
• Daily
• Weekly
• Mon.–Fri.
Note:
Events that are recorded by timers that you set to repeat will be
displayed in the list using the name of the first event recorded by the timer.

Press MENU and select Setup , then Dolby Digital , to access the Dolby
Digital Menu. Dolby Digital gives you the capability to enjoy programs with
surround sound. In order to enjoy full, 5.1-channel surround sound, you will
require an external Dolby Digital decoder. Refer to the user’s guide for your
system’s decoder device for more information.
DTVPal DVR uses a HDMI port to output digital audio and video, or an optical
port to output digital audio only. The HDMI or optical connections can provide
two audio data types: Dolby Digital and Linear PCM (only Dolby Digital audio
through these connections can then be decoded to provide full, 5.1-channel
surround sound).
