Controlling an audio device using this system (AVRCP)
This car stereo can control the following operations on a connected audio device that supports AVCRCP (Audio
Video Remote Control Profi le).
1.
Initiating playback – Every time you switch to BT AUDIO mode, the car stereo will send the “PLAY” command
to the connected audio device via AVRCP, which then automatically initiates playback.
Note:
The PLAY command can diff er depending on the connected audio device. If the audio device is
not capable of auto-play after switching the car stereo to BT AUDIO mode, playback needs to be
initiated manually directly on the audio device.
2. Next/Previous track – Press up/down on the front panel of the stereo.
3. Pause/Play – Press Pause/Play on the front panel of the stereo.
4. Volume Up/Down – Turn the volume control dial on the car stereo.
5. Mute – Press MUTE on the car stereo.
6. Stop playback – switch the car stereo to another mode
Note:
AVRCP control may diff er for various audio devices. All other operations, not mentioned in this
manual, shall be performed directly on the audio device.
Handsfree calling during Bluetooth stream playback
If the connected audio device is a mobile phone, all handsfree functions are still available during audio
streaming, including accepting incoming calls, making an outgoing call etc.
Disconnecting the audio device from this system
You can terminate the Bluetooth audio connection by disconnecting the audio device.

Displaying the BT connection status
Check the BT connection status via the car stereo
1. If the BT icon
lights up on the display, the car stereo is connected with the smartphone via Bluetooth.
2. The connection profi le can be determined by accessing the car stereo menu and BT MODE. The following
information will appear on the display.
•
Name of the connected device (smartphone).
•
“HFP” -> Connected via the Handsfree profi le.
•
“A2DP” -> Connected via the audio signal streaming profi le.
•
“APPS” -> Connected via the APPS profi le.
Note:
If “APPS” does not appear on the display, the two-way
control profi le has not yet connected. Terminate the “CARADIO” application (
), restart and try
again.
