receives power, but is not
functioning. Unplug it
from the outlet and take
following steps.
The cigarette lighter is

overheats when plugged in the cigarette
lighter outlet, either the cigarette lighter
must be cleaned, or the 12V DC plug was
incorrectly installed.
The fuse of the 12V DC plug
burned out.
Change fuse (5A) in the 12V DC plug.
The car fuse burned out.
Change the fuse in the car outlet (usually
15 A). (Please, follow the instructions in
your car manual.)
