2.

Excessive flue draught may remove too much heat from the

Ecco Stove on slow combustion.  A damper may be fitted into the flue pipe off the stove to
reduce draught but only closed after the firing process is completed

 dampers must always

allow 20% of the flue area unclosed.

24. DUCTED WARM AIR (WHEN AVAILABLE)

By fitting the hot box with one extra trim between it and the stoves top, up to
four 100mm diameter rigid pipes can be fitted off the stoves top to other rooms.
These pipes simply push into the openings in the top of the hot box.

Grilles with spigots are available separately along with rigid 100mm pipes and
100mm alloy flexible tubing (none of which are included as standard).  Maximum
duct length per output is 1.5 metres.  Each duct must rise constantly to its point
of emission into the adjacent room (or the same room the Ecco Stove stands in)

with a minimum angle of 45⁰ for na

tural convection.

The rigid pipes are used as decorative outlets rather than flexible tubing visible
directly off the top of the hot box.  A steel  locating plate which clamps onto the
flue pipe is available to hold the rigid duct pipes in position for appearances only.

25. GENERAL

a)

Safe Operation.  The outside surface of the Ecco Stove will reach temperatures above 200

˚C

  on

full firing and must not be touched as burning will occur.

Care must be taken.

In the event of overheating

 above 230

˚

C ensure the fire door and ash pit door are fully closed

in order to reduce the rate of combustion and slowly cool the stove.
a i)  Any combustible materials must be a minimum of  500mm away from the appliance sides.
Plaster board or plaster will crack if within 300 mm of the appliance.  Non combustible materials
must be minimum of 125mm from sides; 300mm above and 75mm from rear.

b)

No modifications must be made to Ecco Stove or structural work carried out upon it unless by
authorised personnel (aesthetic changes may be made by the manufacturer without notice).
