Proper use of the EBIKE

•

Your EBIKE is (due to its design and equipment)

designated for the same kind of use as a typical

bicycle: to use on public roads .

•

The safety equipment has been assembled by

manufacture: it must be regularly checked by the

user, and corrective maintenance must be per-

formed by the specialized dealer as necessary .

•

In the event of non-compliance with the safety

guidelines indicated in these operating instruc-

tions, We assumes no liability for any resulting

incidence of injury or damage . This particularly

applies to the use of the EBIKE as well as to

overloading and the improper remedy of defects .

Under these conditions, there is no liability on

our part for defects of quality .

•

The EBIKE is not equipped for use in competitive

events .

Please also observe all other guidelines for assem-

bly, maintenance and upkeep indicated in this hand-

book (along with the specifications set forth by the

gearshift-assembly manufacturer) .

Provisions on liability

for defects of quality

As a rule, the 24-month statutory period of liability

for defects of quality applies . The manufacturer shall

warrant any material defects or design errors on

your EBIKE under the following prerequisites:

•

You can only asset your claim on any defects of

quality by submitting the record of delivery and

the purchase receipt .

•

The period of liability for defects of quality begins

with the day of purchase .

Warranty on Battery: 6 month

The maintenance of the drive battery is subject to

various conditions . Within the first six months of pur-

chase, We will conduct precise tests to determine

whether such failure was caused by normal wear,

inappropriate use or a battery pack which was de-

fective due to production faults .

Limitations on liability

for defects of quality

The liability for defects of quality shall lapse under

the following conditions:

•

unauthorised or inappropriate use of/damage to

the EBIKEs (traffic accident, fall) .

•

damage which is attributable to normal wear of

parts such as tires, the chain, Bowden controls

and brake shoes .

•

damage to the paint or chrome due to the ef-

fects of weather, moisture and ambient condi-

tions (particularly salty air) as well as aggressive

environments containing ammonia .

•

deficient maintenance of the EBIKE (in deviation

from the specifications described in these oper-

ating instructions .

•

repairs which were not performed by a bicycle

specialist .

•

modifications of the drive system which exceed

the framework set forth by the technical stan-

dard specification .

•

structural modifications to the EBIKE which devi-

ate from its condition upon delivery . This particu-

larly applies to the drive battery . Any modifica-

tions lead to the lapse of the warranty!

•

breakage of the electrical conductor which is not

attributable to design errors .

•

defects caused by extraneous force .

•

damage caused by the use of the EBIKE at com-

petitions .

•

use of the drive battery in a manner which is not

compliant with the attendant specifications .

•

use of non-original spare batteries .

Assertion of liability for defects of quality

•

In the event of damage, please consult your

bicycle dealer . This is your competent contact

person at any time .

Disclaimer for defects of quality

Excluded from liability for defects of quality: Personal

injury or damage to any parts of your EBIKE which

are not original parts (insofar as legally permissible) .

The performance of repair work neither extends nor

renews the warranty on the product as a whole .
