INTERFACING PROTOAIR TO DEVICE

4.1 Wiring Field Port to RS-485 BMS Network



Connect the RS-485 network wires to the 3-pin RS-485 connector on ProtoAir FPA-W34 as
shown in

Figure 5

Use standard grounding principles for RS-485 GND



for information on connecting to BACnet/IP network.



If the ProtoAir is the last device on the Serial trunk, then the End-Of-Line Termination Switch
needs to be enabled. (

)

The default setting from the factory is OFF (switch position = left side)

To enable the Termination, turn the EOL switch ON (switch position = right side)
